Why Liverpool Offices Should Move Away From 9-To-5 Work

Most people will know full well of the positives and negatives that come from working a 9-to-5 routine. Of course, it might favour some people to have a structured schedule in place, while others might favour more flexibility with the time that they have in their days. Whether your offices are in Liverpool or Manchester, you might find that the change in work schedule could be a significant boost for workers.

According to a survey from YouGov and McDonald’s (via Business Up North), only seven per cent of people in Liverpool are working 9-to-5 shifts. You’ll even find that research shows that 44 per cent of Liverpudlians would want to break away from that pattern and move into more flexible roles.

If you’re a business owner, then you’ll know that a change to the work rota could enable different employees to complete other activities in their personal life, whether it’s picking up the kids after school or avoiding the busier rush hours of traffic. In fact, 42 per cent of full-time workers said they would rather work longer days in return for a shorter working week.

Mark Blundell, a McDonald’s franchisee owner in Liverpool, commented: “Quite simply, people are looking for jobs that work for them. This research reflects McDonald’s belief that to attract, retain and motivate, employers need to create opportunities that genuinely work for people, whatever their age, life stage or ambition.”

You might find that people’s moral would significantly change from the ability to work different shifts throughout the week, especially as it could make them more proactive knowing that their personal life is all in order.
